About Me:

well as you may or may not have worked out my name is Umbra I’ll keep you guessing at my second name for the time being. as said before I’m into photography, photoshop and gaming. have a lovely girl friend /fiancée called fern and I love her to bits.


i live in a small town called accrington and its famous for being a rough scruffy hole in the north west. just look it up on the urban dictionary it sums up this place very well. a few years ago it weren’t all to bad but as the recession started to bite alot of the pubs and clubs started to shut and the groups of friends started to drift apart. if your wondering were Umbra came from is was and still is my xbox live name and stuck as a bit of a nickname in the pub we use to play around in. even though the pubs gone the name still pops up every now and again so i like to use it for stuff like this. sorry if you were expecting a long exciting story but eh not much happens over here. me and fern have know each other for nearly 6 years and have bin engaged for 2 years this Christmas and I couldn’t be happier. we met in our former local (The Adelphie which has sadly since shut down)pub back in 2006 and we became friends every since. she can be a handful from time to time but that’s also a good thing about her. she doesn’t ever mince her words and if she’s not happy she will say. like I said both a blessing and a hindrance but I love her all the same. she’s very passionate about her work as a dog groomer. when its comes to dogs she the girl to ask and when it comes to dog grooming everything has to be perfect. we lived together for nearly as-long as we have bin seeing each other and during that time we have amassed quite a few pets. it started off with a rat, then a hamster, another rat. after a we moved into our first home together we decided to get a dog. or rather she came home with one, one day. a small three month old whippet called summer and a year later we were lumbered with another whippet which we named Cole. sadly the rats and hamster have passed away and our dogs are now 15 months and 30 months


both of them are real characters, very different in the way the behave. summer is a worrier, if something don’t seem right or something isn’t following the day to day routine then she will let you know. Cole on the other hand is always happy, as long as he’s with fern or knows where she is. iv never seen such a mummy’s boy and a bully to summer. he’s not nasty just a bit heavy handed with her but there both great dogs and wouldn’t change them for the world back to me as I said before I’m into photography l, photoshop and gaming. the latter I’m not hoping to make a living out of, just an escape from day to day life as games should be. no more no less. photoshop and photograph on the other hand I would love to do as a job. not that I’m the greatest photographer or photoshoper who has ever lived but I like to think I have some talent and I hope to display some of my work on here and my deviantart page. click the link to have a look at my page if you like Deviantart.com that would be the dream but there will be a lot of work before now and then. I hope to move more to the editing side of the industry but I’ll take what I can get. I enjoy both side of this coin and I think I’ll be very luck if I do manage to get my foot in the door. as for gaming, i like hard games. they dont really have to be good (shinobi PS2 for example) as long as there’s the feeling of pride when you final finish it. not that i dont enjoy a stint on C,O,D every now and again. i have a small collection of mega drive games and a few N64 games to. just because a new game looks nice dont mean its better than the oldies, Final Fantasy being a guilty of this crime. well that my story for now. il will edit this page as i go along, adding when i see fit. anything else you want to know about me or want to share in my hobby just drop me a message on here or facebook. always up for a chat
